Natural materials sell stories that plastic can't — and Fujian's craft belt grows, weaves and finishes nearly all of them within a day's drive of our factory. Here's the honest buyer's-eye view of each.

Iron

Weight and thin-profile detail make iron the workhorse of candle holders, wall décor and figurine frames. Powder-coating gives any color; hand-antiquing gives character. Watch for: heavier freight cost per unit, and rust-proofing requirements for outdoor SKUs.

Bamboo & wood

Fast-growing bamboo is the sustainability story retailers love; pine and fir carve beautifully for ornament and figures. Both take stain, paint and laser engraving well. Watch for: humidity control in transit and consistent drying before finishing — a factory discipline issue, not a material flaw.

Rattan & willow

Handwoven baskets remain a year-round category with a spring peak. Every piece carries maker variation — that's the charm and also why you approve a golden sample and allow a small variance band. Watch for: labor-intensive weaving means planning quantities earlier than for machine-made lines.

Ceramic & glass

Premium feel, food-safe glazes, real heft — ideal for tabletop and candle categories. Both demand serious packing engineering: molded pulp or foam, drop-test validated cartons. Watch for: higher breakage allowances; budget them rather than hoping.

Resin

For figurines and detailed sculptural pieces, resin captures detail no carving can, at friendly costs, and paints beautifully. Watch for: keep it away from direct-heat claims and check destination-market compliance for the finish.

Rule of thumb: the closer the material is to nature, the more the factory's process discipline shows. Choose your maker, not just your material.

Choosing a mix

A balanced seasonal program often looks like: iron + wood for structure and story, rattan for volume and value, ceramic or glass for the premium tier, resin where detail sells. We build material mixes like this for buyers every season — ask us to sketch one for your shelves.
